ASUS took the stage today at IFA 2014 to announce a new version of the MeMo Pad 7 (ME572C) tablet, complete with 64 bit processor. The newcomer features a 64 bit processor and Android as the OS, plus it comes in a variety of colors, showcased below.
This device is powered by an Intel Atom Z3560 64 bit processor, a quad core 1.83 GHz unit, accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and it adopts a 7 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display (LED backlit IPS), with oleophobic coating, 8 GB or 16 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot. There’s an extra 5 GB of free lifetime cloud storage and an extra 11 GB for the first year. The new ASUS MeMo Pad 7 packs a 2 MP front camera, a 5 MP back shooter and stereo speakers.
Its battery is said to provide 9 hours of usage time and the slate measures 9.6 mm in thickness, plus it weighs 295 grams. It runs an unspecified version of Android with the ASUS Zen UI on top. ASUS also included here the PixelMaster technology for extra options and effects in the photo taking area. I’m talking about Time Rewind, Image Stabilizer, Depth of Field and more.
