Huawei’s Honor brand has been trying to seem independent to the average user, by only branding the products with the name “Honor” and that’s it. Now it appears that Huawei is expanding this brand to tablets, not only smartphones and wants to launch such products in India.
The result is said to be a slate with a 4100 mAh battery and 3G calling, as well as “long hours of video playback”. We’ve seen quite a few tablet releases in India, all of them having in common the affordable prices and modest specs. Of course, in general the tablet market has been stagnating or worse, but there’s been some room for growth in India.
Honor has launched a few affordable devices in the past in the country, with success it seems. It remains to be seen whether the new tablet is just an oversized Honor 5X or Honor 5C, not that there’s anything wrong with that, both being solid phones.
