It’s not everyday that we run into an award winning product, such as the Huawei MediaPad M3. The device won a couple of awards at IFA 2016, where it debuted last month and now it’s here for an unboxing, that we pulled off below. Priced at $381 in the WiFi/ 32 GB version, or $489 in the 64 GB/ LTE version, the device has a very big box, considering its size.
Inside the box there’s a screen protection, a rag used to clean the display , USB cable and charger, plus a metal key to open up the slots. Huawei MediaPad M3 has an unibody metal design, with a thickness of just 7.3 mm. The slate is available in gold or silver and packs an 8.4 inch display with an IPS panel with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, plus a powerful Kirin 950 CPU.
The higher end version also bundles a set of quality AKG headphones, excellently tuned. Speaking of tuning, the stereo speakers on board of this metal piece of work offer great acoustics, courtesy of Harman Kardon. There’s 32 GB or 64 GB of storage here, 4 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel back camera with a ton, I really mean that, a ton of options. I was actually shocked by how many there are.
The battery is a 5100 mAh unit and the OS is Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. We look forward to enjoying some tunes on this device. The updated price is here.
