The folks of hi-tech.mail.ru got a chance to play with the new MediaPad 10 tablet a bit before its unveiling at MWC 2012. This 10 inch tablet has yet to be announced, but it’s already pictured in the following shots, although only parts of it are seen and not the entire device. The tablet will be officially introduced on February 26th at MWC 2012, when the Huawei event takes place.
This 10 inch slate runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has a 16:9 aspect ratio and it looks a bit like the HTC Flyer, if you ask me. Its metallic case reminds me of the Samsung Galaxy Tab series and iPad a bit, especially the sloped areas. The chipset of choice is a mystery here, so it could be a Qualcomm, a TI or Nvidia unit. I’m betting on Qualcomm for some reason… We also get stereo speakers, a 3G module, a microSD card slot and an 8 megapixel camera with flash.
The price will be around $670, according to the same Russian source. Sadly, this is where the specs list ends and where I start speculating that this device will get 1GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, all of them predictable specs, plus HDMI, GPS, DLNA and other usual feats. Will they throw in a quad ore or dual core CPU, what do you think?
