Huawei can’t wait till 2026 to unveil its products, so they just debuted a 2026 tablet. The device is aptly named Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2026) and is pretty similar to the 2025 model, that debuted in July. It does have a different processor and some minor improvements.

The device was announced together with the Nova 15 series and the Watch 5 10th Anniversary Edition. We’re dealing here with a MatePad tablet that features an IPS LCD display with an 11.5 inch diagonal and a 2456 x 1600 pixel resolution. It also has up to 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The slate will be also be sold in a Soft Light Edition, with an anti glare coating.

The Soft Light version uses a Kirin T82 processor, while the regular one adopts a Kirin T82B chipset. The slate runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, with AI features and the Huawei AI Health Learning 2 system. Huawei included here a 13 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel front camera for video calls. There’s also a 10.100 mAh battery inside, with 40W charging support.

For entertainment, we have quad speakers, while connectivity is taken care of by Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2. The device is available in Deep Space Gray, Frost Silver, Feather sand Purple and Island Blue. Sold at $255, for the 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage version, the device also goes up to $395 in the 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage version.
