HTC and UEFA have reached a partnership deal, with HTC becoming the official mobile phone and tablet partner of both UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. As you know, since it’s midweek there are Champions League matches going on and courtesy of this tweet right here we already spotted HTC commercials on the field, as shown below.
The interesting bit about the announcement from here is that tablets are also mentioned in the partnership and I find it hard to believe that HTC will supply UEFA folks with the already ancient HTC Flyer. This could be a hint regarding a future tablet or two from HTC, maybe even a Windows 8 or Windows RT model. The 3 year deal runs till the end of the 2014/2015 season and also involves the UEFA Super Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League Final and the UEFA Futsal Cup finals.
With a February 19th HTC event coming up and the debut of the HTC M7/HTC One ready any day now, it’s also possible we’ll see a tablet debuting either in a week or at MWC 2013, in Barcelona. Last year we were also supposed to witness the debut of the HTC Quattro tablet, but that didn’t happen.
