MWC 2012 starts tomorrow and our editor is already en route to Barcelona, where’s he’ll catch on camera all the local novelty. Meanwhile, HTC has posted a nice message on its official blog from Barcelona, on the MWC venue. The message was posted by John Starkweather, company director of digital marketing, hinting at something big and also including the picture below.
Call it gut feeling, but I sense that this box contains units of that rumored quad core HTC tablet. Be it the Quattro model or as it’s rebranded HTC Vertex, this device will certainly be something interesting to look out for. HTC Vertex is supposed to be a 9mm slate with a Tegra 3 CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 768 resolution. Android 4.0 ICS and HTC Sense 4.0 should also be available on it, together with HTC Scribe and Beats Auddio.
Supposedly, this tablet incorporates a 2 megapixel camera, but I would be happy with more honestly. Also, HTC might surprise us with a 5 inch device, since LG and Samsung already have one and even ViewSonic announced one recently. Is this the Note rival from HTC we’ve been waiting for?
