HTC Desire 816 is the hit device from HTC, a midrange phone that’s supposed to sell millions of units. This dual SIM 5.5 inch phablet is unboxed below and this device is priced at $400. This model was announced at MWC 2014 and analysts described it as the motor for HTC’s future growth.

Inside its box we find the manual, charger, USB cable, headphones and that’s about it. There’s a lid on the side of the device, covering up the dual SIM slots and the microSD card slot. HTC Desire 816 measures 7.9 mm in thickness, weighs 165 grams and integrates a 5.5 inch display with 720p resolution (Super LCD). Inside the handset there’s a Snapdragon 400 processor, a quad core 1.6 GHz unit, as well as 8 GB of storage, 1.5 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot supporting an extra 128 GB of storage.

We’ve got HSDPA support here with 42 Mbps download speed and LTE, while other specs include a 13 MP back shooter and a front 5 MP cam as well.
