HP is back in the tablet game big time, but not only with cheaper Android models! They’ve got this new product called HP Slate 8 Pro, that surfaced in a benchmark and confirmed some interesting hardware specs.

I’m talking about an 8 inch 1600 x 1200 pixel display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the same as the Apple iPads. This model runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it comes with a 1.8 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 processor and all of those details come straight out of the famous GFXBench benchmark. There’s no launch date, price or other details for this model, that’s still not totally off the prototype radar.

For now we know its codename is Bodhi and more details will be available soon. With Nvidia preparing a nifty 7 inch Tegra Tab with a Tegra 4 CPU and this 8 incher also being prepped, it makes us wonder what other smaller slates will surprise us this upcoming fall.
