The first HP Windows tablet with an Intel Atom Bay Trail CPU is now available for preorder, priced at $399. The device can be preordered from the Microsoft Store right here, in case you’re tempted.
This is your typical 10.1 inch Full HD display slate with a quad core CPU, Windows 8.1 and a battery that should offer about 8.5 hours of functioning on a charger, says HP. The processor inside is the 1.46 GHz Intel Atom Z3770 and we’ve also got 2 GB of RAM and at least 32 GB of storage. There’s an 8 megapixel camera at the back, a 2 MP front shooter and a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution display.
Said screen has Gorilla Glass 2 protection and 5 point multitouch, while the tablet’s specs also include a micro HDMI port, a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth and Miracast. The battery here is a 31 Whr unit and the device measures 0.4 inches in thickness and weighs 1.4 pounds.
