During a special press conference in New Delhi, HP debuted two new tablets for businesses, the ElitePad 1000 G2 model and the Omni 10. These slates are Windows models for businesses and they should meet the needs of employees for both life and work related features.

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 is a redesigned and upgraded version of its predecessors, now with a brighter 10.1 inch diagonal WUXGA touchscreen with 16:10 aspect ratio. The design and build quality are top notch and the device measures 9.2 mm in thickness and weighs 1.5 lbs. The sleek slate is rugged and durable, passing 9 military grade tests. Inside it there’s a 64 bit Intel Atom CPU, 4 GB of RAM and we also get 4G connectivity.

This product will be sold with 64 or 128 GB of storage. The ElitePad comes with touch, pen and voice based input and can be customized and expanded with a variety of accessories, like smart jackets, adapters for battery, docking station, covers and cases. The HP Omni 10 is the other newcomer, with productivity on the go as its focus. It also offers the power of 32 bit Windows 8.1 and it’s a multipurpose slate suited for both an enterprise professional and leisure time.

This model uses a 10.1 inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and an Intel Atom Z3000 processor inside, as well as 2 GB of RAM. It has 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and it will be priced at $470. The ElitePad 1000 comes at about $1000.
