HP has debuted today a very interesting product, the 2 in 1 model Pavilion x2, that features an USB C port. Priced at $299, this model will be available from July 21st and it packs a 10 inch screen.
HP Pavilion x2 has a sturdy keyboard base and a wide trackpad, as well as Bang & Olufsen acoustics. This tablet/laptop integrates a keyboard that’s 93% the size of a normal HP laptop keyboard and offers the same 1.5 mm travel for keys. The slate part weighs 1.3 pounds and the keyboard reaches 1.2 pounds. Specs include an USB Type C port, that can be used for charging and USB connectivity, plus a full sized USB port and a micro HDMI port.
We’ve got a microSD card slot here and a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, with an IPS panel. 32 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM and a bundled 1 year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 are all included here. HP Pavilion x2 2015 will come in red, white or silver and it ships with Windows 8.1 32 bit, but it qualifies for a Windows 10 update.
A quick mention about the CPU: HP showed off this model with an Intel Cherry Trail at Computex, but the system will come with Bay Trail initially. This product can also be opened up at 135 degrees, without tipping over.
