It would appear that not only Huawei is working on a new tablet, but also its spinoff brand, Honor. The company is working on the Honor Tab 6, which is expected to debut in stores this month, in November.
This is obviously an Android tablet and judging by the previous Honor launches, it should be affordable. The Weibo social network from China apparently has some hints about a Honor Tab 6 event in November, that will include the debut of the rumored Honor V30 phone. In June this year, Honor unveiled the Honor Pad/ Tab 5, which only went on sale in China.
It’s very likely that the new model will get a similar approach. Honor Tab 6 is expected and rumored to have a Kirin 810 processor, the most powerful midrange CPU from Huawei right now. It’s sort of a rival for the Snapdragon 710 or 730 even. We don’t have details about the screen, cameras, RAM and battery, sadly, but we can speculate. I’d say we’re about to get a metal body tablet, with an 8 inch screen or maybe a 10 incher, with Full HD resolution.
Expect 3 or 4 GB of RAM inside, and 32 or 64 GB of storage. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re banking on the whole gaming/ GPU Turbo thing and promoting this as a gaming tablet. Maybe there’s even some liquid cooling and quad speakers, who knows? I also expect a 5000 mAh battery for the 8 incher or 7000 mAh for the 10 incher. If the larger diagonal comes through, it’s totally a Galaxy Tab S5e rival.
