It wasn’t enough that Huawei diversified its lineup of laptops with the Honor MagicBook. They went ahead and now further diversified it with an AMD Ryzen variant of the machine. It gets an AMD CPU, but keeps the design.

The Honor brand now includes the Honor MagicBook Sharp Dragon Ryzen edition, which is a mouth full and it’s available via reservation on JD.com. The price tag is a mystery right now. The newcomer should arrive with an AMD processor, meaning it’ll have a lower price than the Intel Core i5 or the Core i7 . The Ryzen edition uses an AMD R5 2500U processor, based on 14 nm technology.

It’ll come with an octa thread and quad core setup, being clocked at 2.0 GHz, with a peak frequency of 3.6 GHz. It also has a Radeon Vega 8 graphics card and 8 GB of RAM, plus 256 GB of SSD storage. Aside from the CPU and GPU setup, the new laptop is very similar to others on the market. It comes with a narrow bezel design, with 81% screen to body ratio and the hinges have a pretty sexy design as well, letting the laptop open up to 180 degrees.

The MagicBook comes with a metal body, a full size QWERTY keyboard and it’s just 15.8 mm thick, while weighing 1.47 kilograms. This makes it both light and highly portable. Available in Glacier Silver, Starry Ash and Nebula Purple in the initial model, the new one only comes in Glacier Silver. Other specs include 4 speakers, Dolby Sound System support.

There’s also a 2X2 MIMO dual WiFi antenna and the 57 Wh battery on board offers it up to 12 hours of web browsing or 13 hours of document processing.
