Apple has a new event today, one focused on a brand new Apple MacBook Pro, with an OLED strip, as shown below by a leak from the previous days. The event will begin in about 2 hours and you can watch it here, on Apple’s website. It’ll go down in San Francisco and it’ll be focused on Mac products.

The live stream is available either via a dedicated channel on the Apple TV set top box, or on the Safari browser on OS X, or maybe on iOS devices, upwards from iOS 7. Those with Windows 10 can rely on the Microsoft Edge browser to watch the show, The new Macbook Pros will have a touch sensitive OLED control bar above the keyboard’s numeric buttons and apparently they’ll also come with Touch ID fingerprint scanners and USB Type C ports.

In order to make room for these innovations, Apple got rid of the escape key, brightness buttons and function keys. The new MacBooks are said to be lighter and thinner and the bezels around the screen and keyboard are also smaller now. A refresh of the 13 inch MacBook Air may happen, with an USB Type C port as well, while an updated iMac with new GPU and CPU may also be in the cards.

Then a 5K cinema display may also complete the list. Expect the latest Intel Skylake CPUs on board of the newcomers and up to 2 TB of SSD storage. No new iPads today, most likely.
