Today’s Google event is clearly related to Android 4.3 and Nexus 7 2, but it’s also a Chrome event, so expect goodies in that area as well. At 12 PM ET or 4 PM GMT, Sundai Pichai, the head of Android will reveal what the event is about.
There are many theories about this gathering, but the most plausible one talks about the Nexus 7 2, that has already been unboxed by a few lucky folks. The new Nexus tablet is already a solved mystery, since it comes with a 7 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display, quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and 2 GB of RAM, plus a 5 MP camera.
Android 4.3 will be officially launched today and it will probably start rolling out to the Nexuses this week. You can watch a live stream of today’s even here and live chat with Yahoo Tech editors at the same address. We could be surprised by the launch of yet another Google product today, maybe the reinvented Nexus Q, turned into a gaming console, as we’ve heard a while ago?
