The segment of gaming tablets and tablets for kids has been growing over the past years and now we get a children slate out there. It’s called the FunTab Mini 2 and this kids tablet is priced at a mere $69.99, which is very, very affordable.

The device has been designed with children in mind and it comes with a display that frankly makes me think of a smartphone more than a tablet, since it’s 4.3 inches in diagonal. The screen supports a 480 x 272 pixel resolution and other specs include a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and Android 4.0 ICS.

There’s also 4 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB of extra storage and front and back cameras. The battery of the slate promises up to 5.5 hours of battery life, which is more than some other full fledged tablets can offer. The product is housed in a rubberized texture case, idea for drops from little hands.
