We keep hearing that Apple is preparing 4 new iPads for release this year and this info has been out on the web for a while now. Today we also get the finalized names and colors options for these products. They’re available after the break.
A report from Greece has the scoop on the newcomers, revealing their codenames, which are Apple iPad Pro 9.7 inch 2, iPad Pro 10.5 inch, iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2 and the iPad Mini Pro. The really new one from the bunch is the 10.5 inch model, that’s a new format tried out by Apple. It’s said to have slimmer bezels and a new Apple A10X chipset inside.
The same CPU is expected to appear on the iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2, while the iPad Pro 9.7 inch 2 will have an Apple A9 chip and could come with a pretty low price. All 4 models are rumored to come in Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold, with storage version of 32 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB. The iPad Mini Pro hasn’t been detailed, but I expect an upgrade from the iPad Mini 4, possibly quad speakers and Apple Pencil support.
The 10.5 inch model is rumored to debut next month.
