Firefox for Windows 8 Touch Beta is now ready for download and testing and this is a touch friendly version of the famous browser that we’re talking about here. This one is optimized for the Modern UI and ensure the best browsing experience on slates and touch laptops.
There’s a new tile-based interface in the mix, that offers one tap access to Top Sites, Bookmarks and History. The Awesome Bar is still here and we’ve also got Touch and Swipe gestures, like pinch to zoom and one touch swipe transitions. Other key features include Full, Snapped and Fill views, allowing you to view an app either full screen or snapped to a region of the screen.
You can also share a web page or content from pages via social networks, by the way. As usual feedback for the beta is welcome and the download link is over here. Mozilla recommends you visit the Windows Start screen to find the Firefox tile and on Windows 8.1 visit the All Apps Screen, locate the tile and pin it to the start screen.
