If you’re looking for a cheap tablet that also packs a decent punch, we’ve just received for testing the Evolio Aria, a tablet under Romanian branding. Evolio is an East European brand that has shown us other tablets, but this is their first dual core attempt. The Evolio Aria comes in a brightly coloured big box, that’s shown below and we’ve got an unboxing video as well.

The device goes for 220 euro, runs Android 4.0.3 and features a 9.7 inch IPS display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. Inside there’s a dual core AMLOGIC processor and we’ve also got a Mali 400 MP GPU on board. Inside the box we find the manual, USB cable, charger and an USB adapter that connects to the microUSB port and allows you to connect a dongle or USB drive. The slate measures 9.9 mm in thickness, weighs 600 grams and also brings a HDMI port and microSD card slot.

It even throws in infrared connectivity, plus a 2 megapixel camera at the back and a front 0.3 megapixel camera. The device has 16 GB of storage and 1 GB of DDR 3 RAM, plus it comes with a 5 year warranty. The first impressions are great, as the tablet is very fluid in operation, but we’ll be back with more in the following days, as we review the product.
