Looking for a budget tablet? Then, Ergo Electronics and their new GoTab GTi slates may interest you. Small UK company Ergo Electronics introduced a trio of these models, preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and one with Jelly Bean. The Android 4.1 one is the highest end of the line, with a 9.7 inch IPS display and a dual core CPU.

The Jelly Bean tablet from Ergo is called GTi97 and its CPU is a 1.6 GHz RK3066, while other specs include 1 GB of RAM, WiFi N, HDMI output, microSD card slot and microUSB port. The device is priced at 179 quid. Next up we’ve got the GTi8, an 8 inch tablet with a 160 ppi screen and a compact case. It comes with a 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and WiFi N connectivity. There’s a front 2 megapixel camera, ideal for video conferencing and self portraits. There’s also a rear 2 megapixel camera for main picture taking, videos and panoramic shots.

The GTi8 tablet is priced at 129 quid. And here comes the last unit, the very cheap one, priced at 79 quid, GTi7. This is a 7 inch slate with a widescreen display, WiFi and a very lightweight package. GTi7 features a single core 1.2 GHz CPU and just like all the other models it’s expected around the holiday season in the UK.
