The Global Sources China Sourcing Fair in Hong Kong was the perfect opportunity for Asian tablets to debut. Among them we spotted an Eken device, with an 8 inch touchscreen display and with a design inspired by the iPad.
This device is based on an ARM SoC solution by VIA Technologies subsidiary Wondermedia. The OS of choice is Android 1.6 and you can see the tablet in action, in the video below. We’re dealing with a gadget packing a very reflective screen and its processor is marketed as the Prizm platform, that was also seen at the Hong Kong on a couple more devices.
