8 inch tablets are certainly a trend right now, since smaller companies are trying to pre-empt the launch of the Galaxy Note 8.0 with their own 8 inch slates. We already reviewed the Allview TX1 Quasar, a Romanian 8 inch tablet and now there’s a new model from a rival slate maker from Romania, E-Boda Supreme X80 Dual Core, that we unboxed in the video below.

We’re dealing with a slate that only costs $200 and it features an Amlogic dual core 1.5 GHz processor, a Mali quad core GPU, 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and microSD storage, up to 32 GB. There’s 8 GB of storage on board and the 8 inch display supports a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. The display is a multitouch capacitive unit with 5 point touch. There’s also a G Sensor on board, a back 2 MP camera and a front VGA camera. The device has mini HDMI, an aluminum case and its 4400 mAh battery provides 5 hours of functioning.

E-Boda Supreme X80 Dual Core runs Android 4.0 and it measures 9 mm in thickness, plus it weighs 430 grams. Inside the box there are headphones, a USB adapter, an USB cable and a charger that feels quite cheap and plasticky, I have to say. We’ll be back in a few days with more impressions on the tablet.
