After learning that Dell is preparing a Streak follow-up for 2011, now the original device is welcoming Froyo, at least in the UK. The company’s official Facebook account claims that Android 2.2 will be rolling out on Streak units this month, with UK users being the privileged ones.
The international release will be delayed a bit, as Dell plans to implement the cool Stage UI. If you’re wondering what the deal with the screenshot above is, know that the “continue with update” button doesn’t do anything impressive and it has been pulled from the website since. However, the good news is that Dell wants to allow users to download Android 2.2 themselves.
