Dell has debuted two new Android-based tablets in India, both part of the Venue series and both coming in WiFi and voice calling versions. The newcomer are refreshed versions of the already known Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8, already available in India.
Dell Venue 7 is priced at $195 for the WiFi model, while the voice calling unit goes for $244. The Venue 8 comes in at $261 for the WiFi version and $310 for the voice calling unit. Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8 run Android 4.4 KitKat and are offered with 16 GB of storage, that can be expanded with up to 64 GB more via microSD. Both models come with 4550 mAh batteries and the Dell Venue 7 packs a 7 inch IPS display, with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, as well as a 1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z3460 processor, together with 1 GB of RAM. There’s also a 5 MP back camera and a front 1 MP shooter.
Venue 8 2014 version has an 8 inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel res, a 2.1 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z3480 processor and 1 GB of RAM. The camera combo here involves a 5 M P and 2 MP unit, while on the connectivity side there’s Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, microUSB 2.0 and voice calling models will offer SIM slots and 3G support.
