We’ve seen glimpses of the Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet a few weeks ago, but back then we didn’t have many details about the product. Luckily, this week Computex camera and with it a presentation of the device was offered.
This product is the very first to have integrated the 14 nm Intel Atom x7 processor, with some serious gaming abilities. Predator 8 has a quad speaker system, that involves 4 front facing speakers. They are placed at the corners of the device, making it more angular. This is supposed to be a rugged 8 inch tablet with Android on board and a pretty bulky design.
Predator was shown in Taipei running a racing game and it all ran smoothly, with the graphics looking fantastic. Supposedly the battery life of Cherry Trail models isn’t that great, so we’ll have that to look out for in the future. There’s no info about the RAM, storage, cameras or even the resolution of the device, so we’ll have to wait a bit more.
