ASUS showcased a dockable device at Computex 2013, the Transformer Book Trio , that runs both Android and Windows 8. This hybrid involves a laptop part and a tablet part and it came out during the pre Computex conference in Taipei.
We’re dealing with a Jelly Bean slate that’s applied on top of a keyboard dock with a powerful Intel Core i7 CPU and Windows 8 CPU. There are actually two CPUs inside this hybrid, one of them being a fourth generation Intel Core i7 U4500 for Windows and Android gets an Atom 2580. Storage is also divided into two: 1 TB of HDD and 64 GB of flash storage.
The display is a 11.6 inch Full HD IPS one and it appears that this device can be used in 3 modes: laptop, tablet and desktop, with a display connected to the dock with Core i7 CPU. The device has been designed with smooth transition in mind, so you can go from laptop mode in Windows 8 to Android and the tablet very fast.
