We wrote about the Chuwi SurBook in April, when it was first announced and we were pretty hyped about this 2 in 1 model. Especially the specs made the device interesting, like the very high resolution and 6 GB of RAM. Now the product has hit IndieGogo, where it starts at $299.

The Chuwi SurBook 2 in 1 Windows tablet is basically a Surface Pro 4 alternative. Shipping starts in July and you can order one here. Specs include a 12.3 inch 2736 x 1824 pixel display, while inside we find an Intel Celeron N3450 quad core Apollo Lake CPU, as well as 6 GB of RAM. Those who are willing to pay extra will get a detachable backlit keyboard for $349 and a stylus with 1024 levels of pressure.

Add $50 and you get a keyboard, pen and 128 GB of storage. Keep in mind that this is only the initial offering of the device and retail prices will be higher once crowdfunding is over. On the connectivity front there’s USB Type-C, two USB 3.0 ports, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and an audio jack, plus microSDXC card slot. Other features include a 5 MP back camera, a 2 MP front shooter, stereo speakers and finally a 10.000 mAh battery with up to 8 hours of usage promised.

Chuwi SurBook has a magnesium case, a fanless deisgn and weighs around 2.1 pounds.
