Chuwi is a name we cover about every two weeks, when another one of their solid Windows slates pops up. This time we got wind of a bigger model, a 12 incher called Chuwi Hi12, pictured below.
This model has very good specs even compared to previous Chuwi releases. It brings a 12 inch Quad HD screen and a Cherry Trail CPU, as well as Windows 10, for a mere $299. Chuwi Hi12 is launching on January 28th, with a magnetic docking keyboard, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a 5 megapixel main camera. There’s a 2 MP front cam, Bluetooth 4.0 and even HDMI thrown in for good measure.
One USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port are included here, plus WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and a 11.000 mAh battery, which is pretty generous. Hi12 is promised to offer dual boot capabilities later on, letting the user switch to Android 5.1. If the renders are to be believed, this is a very solid and well put together tablet, with a metal chassis.
