After a few teasers Chuwi has finally debuted its new 2 in 1 tablet, the UBook Pro, via a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The newcomer is a Windows 10 2 in 1 tablet, that comes with an U-shaped kickstand.

Said kickstand allows it to be opened at 145 degrees and it weighs just 780 grams. The product may remind you of the Surface Pro series and it’s clearly inspired by it, even by looking at the kickstand once. Chuwi is a company that was founded in 2004 and for the past few years they’ve specialized in tablets, convertibles and laptops. They’re aiming the budget segment and their products have been available on Amazon and Chinese retailers.

Back to the product, the Chuwi UBook Pro has inside an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, together with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. There’s a 12.3 inch Full HD IPS LCD display integrated here, with 2048 levels of active stylus pressure supported. And there’s also a stylus, the brand new HiPen H5 active stylus model. The screen has a 3:2 aspect like the Surface products and we also get the USB-C port, two USB-A ports and one HDMI.

All of that crammed within a 9 mm thick chassis. You can support the product and back it for $449 a pop on Indiegogo. A lighter and cheaper model will be available for $399, powered by a Gemini Lake N4100 processor. Windows 10 Home 64 bit is on board.
