Chuwi is really getting into the whole crowdfunding thing, so after a few successful products, now they’re debuting one more via the same method. This time it’s the Chuwi CoreBook, probably the first tablet I heard of that has a 2.5D glass panel. More details are shown below.
Chuwi already had great success with the crowdfunding of the SurBook devices and now Chuwi CoreBook is up for funding on Indiegogo. The new campaign starts around mid-November and will see the newcomer getting funds and early offers. We’re dealing with a 13.3 inch Full HD slate, with a 2.5D glass panel. It relies on an Intel Core 7th generation processor, the Core M3 7Y30, plus 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
The screen mentioned before promises improved outdoor viewing experience and a vibrant and detailed image, on account of the full lamination technology. This is both a tablet and a notebook, that comes with a stepless adjustable keyboard and can go all the way up to 165 degrees. It’s got support for a “Touch ID” technology at the bottom and top, but that has yet to be detailed. It’s basically a fingerprint scanner from what I understood.
By the way this device has Windows 10 OS and quick charge support. 300 units will benefit from the super early bird price, so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime Chuwi is also starting a giveaway between October 27th and November 10th, with 3 lucky winners to be chosen. Details here.
