MasterImage 3D is a company that works on 3D display production and one of the big names present at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. The company usually creates stereoscopic tridimensional screens and some of their products are even intended for cinema use. What’s the deal with stereoscopic technology? Well, a different image is projected on each of the viewer’s eyes…

MasterImage creates auto-stereoscopic 3D screens ranging from 3 to 10 inches in diagonal and that’s exactly what they showcased at CES 2012 this year. They get their 3D effects through the cell matrix parallax barrier patented technology, that offers a viewing angle of 10 degrees and reduces any ghosting problem or Moire effect issues. The smartphone display the company exhibited measures 4.3 inches in diagonal and supports a 720p resolution.

The 3D tablet display is 10.1 inch in diagonal and supports a 1900 x 900 pixel res. MasterImage claims that the first devices with their technology on board will debut in the second half of 2012.
