During CES 2012 ASUS revealed what many see as an Amazon Kindle Fire killer: the ASUS MeMo 370T. Not to be confused with the dual core MeMo ME171, this model comes with an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and the stunning price tag of $250. I have to mention that the Kindle Fire and Nook tablets have sold well during the holiday season, thanks to a price range of $199 – $249, but with this quad core rival, they’re going to have problems now.
ASUS MeMo 370T provides a 7 inch display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich experience and probably 1GB of RAM and 16GB of memory as well (I’m speculating). Basically, this is everything we had dreamed the HTC Flyer would be, but in the end it wasn’t. During the press conference from yesterday, Nvidia showed some apps that take advantage of the Tegra 3 processing, like Snapseed for photo editing and Shadowgun, a FPS shooter that I liked very much on the ASUS Transformer Prime.
All of those beauties will be available on the ASUS Eee Pad MeMo 370T now and I can certainly say that this device is also a console killer.
