It would appear that Xiaomi is preparing a new notebook, part of the Mi Air series and that device has just leaked big time. We’re talking about multiple renders and also some specs. The newcomer is known as the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3 for now, but I’m guessing they could add a 2017 to the name.
The first Mi Notebook Air came last July, so it’s due an upgrade. Then a 4G version came last December and now it’s time to move on to a new CPU. The device has a 13.3 inch screen and a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded within the corner of the trackpad. We’ve also got a 7th gen Core i5-7200U processor, clocked at 3.1 GHz, replacing the 6th Core i5 from before.
There’s also a GeForce MX150 graphics card, in lieu of the GTX 940MX, with up to 3 times the graphical power. Other specs include 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB or 256 GB of SSD storage, Bluetooth 4.0, USB-C connectivity and 2 USB Type-A ports. Full size HDMI is also here and a 4 cell battery with fast charge, too. The leaked specs mention a weight of 1.3 kg, not far from the 1.28 kg of the predecessor.
This Mi Notebook Air’s case should still use a magnesium-lithium chassis and rumors say that it should be up for order from tomorrow, June 12. The prices thrown around at $735 for the 128 GB model and $809 for the 256 GB version.
Of course Windows 10 is the OS of choice.
