The famous ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity tablet that everyone has been waiting for so long has shown up at Best Buy, with a $600 price tag and 64GB of storage. The device should be announced this week, maybe today even and the price is surprisingly good, compared to our expectations.
We were expecting something in the range of $700 or $800 for this Full HD slate. For the amount of $599 you get a quad core Tegra 3 tablet with a 1920 x 1200 pixel display, 10.1 inch Super IPS+ panel and this is the WiFi only version of the device, in case you’re wondering. There’s no mention of the version with Snapdragon S4 CPU and LTE instead of the Tegra 3. Other features worth mentioning are 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p capture and secondary 2 MP camera.
This is a yet unreleased product, that was announced early this year and the product page at Best Buy says that the device is currently “sold out online”. You’d better start saving money if you want this metallic slate with top notch CPU, screen and camera.
