ASUS surprised everyone at CES 2022, when they unveiled the ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet, especially since putting a RTX 30 GPU on a laptop is a chore, let alone on a tablet. Well, somehow they did it and this is the result. Now, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is selling and we have all the details below.
ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is a Windows 11 tablet with a 13.4 inch screen, a detachable backlit keyboard and also a 12th gen Intel Core processor. This is a device meant for gaming and its Intel Alder Lake CPU is a 45 watt chip with up to 14 cores and 20 threads. The device is available with up to a NVIDIa GeForce RTX 3050 Ti discrete GPU. It can also be connected to an external GPU for more firepower.
The product is now available in USA for $1700 and up. For this price, available in Newegg you get the Intel Core i7-12700H processor, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, plus a Full HD display and 120 Hz refresh rate. Office Depot shows a $1800 price for a model with similar specs, but a higher end Core i9-12900H CPU. Best Buy also sells a Core i9 model for $1900.
ROG Flow Z13 packs a 13.4 inch FHD screen with IPS LCD panel, pen and finger input and the resolution actually changes: It can be 1920 x 1200 with 120 Hz or 3840 x 2400 with 60 Hz. There are 3 versions of graphics here: Intel Iris Xe, NVIDIA RTX 3050 and NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti. Up to 16 GB of RAM is available too, plus up to 1 TB of storage. There’s a Thunderbolt 4 port in the mix, stereo speakers, a microSD card slot and an USB-C 3.2 port, an USB-A 2.- and a ROG GX Mobile port for the GPU. It also has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 and weighs a decent 1.12 kilograms.
