ASUS has been teasing new tablets for Computex 2013 and although “transformations” were promised, one of the newcomers could be the ASUS Memo Pad Smart 2, as shown by a recent leak. The device’s codename, ME302KL was recently spotted in a database.
The new model will be accompanied by a Windows 8 slate or two, a 10 inch Transformer Book and the new Transformer Pad TF302 and TF501T, also confirmed by recent leaks. There will also be an ASUS Vivo Tab Smart (ME402C) and even a 7/8 inch Windows 8 or Win RT slate with stylus. Back to the main topic here, the ASUS MeMo Pad Smart 2 recently got the approved of the NCC, the Taiwanese version of the FCC, so to say.
The product will pack a 10.1 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a quad core Qualcomm processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and Android 4.x Jelly Bean. It will pack what seems to be a crazy good 13 megapixel camera and a front 1.2 MP shooter. The device will also use LTE and GSM/WCDMA, Bluetooth and WiFi.
