ASUS has been preparing some affordable tablets lately, as shown by various leaks, so here’s one more model to get you thinking. It’s dubbed ASUS K01A and it just passed through the FCC. It could be a cheap 7 inch product, as far as we know…

The ASUS K01A comes with WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. It has a 7 inch screen with a low resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, confirming the budget status of the product. Other details include onboard storage of 4 GB, a microSD card slot, a back and front camera and there’s no mention of the SoC, in case you’re wondering.

The battery is a 3.8 12.2 Wh unit, translated to a 3200 mAh power source. Also, no OS is mentioned here, so giving the ascension of cheap Windows 8.1 tablets lately, we could see such a device in this case, not necessarily an Android one. We’ll wait for leaked pics now…
