A hidden video, the one shown below has been uncovered on HP’s website and it shows off the upcoming Slatebook 14, an interesting product from HP. This model is a 1080p notebook with Android and 14 inch diagonal.
The software here is the really interesting part, as the device ditches Windows or Chrome OS in favour of Android. The machine has all the Google approval it needs, continuing the road started by the affordable HP Android slates. It will also feature the Google Play Store and the company’s first party apps, plus an entire catalog of third party Android apps.
As far as specs go, the Slatebook will feature a quad core Tegra 4 or Tegra K1 processor, plus 2 GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, Beats Audio tech and a HDMI out port. The product has 3 USB ports, but we can’t tell which is USB 2.0 or 3.0. We can also see a SIM card slot, showing there will also be a cellular version of the computer. Sadly, we don’t have a price yet.
