French hardware maker ARCHOS has just officially unveiled its newest tablet – ARCHOS 97 Xenon. The device is an entry-level unit sporting a 9.7-inch 10248×768 resolution display.
The newest member of the ARCHOS family is powered by a single-core 1.4GHz and 512MB of RAM. The device has a 2MP rear cam, VGA front-facing one, WIFI connectivity and runs Android 4.0 ICS out of the box. These modest specs help the manufacturer lower the price tag to somewhere near $200, though with only 512MB of RAM its hard not to think of better offers available on the market. Actual pricing and availability info is to be revealed later on.
