If you have forgotten, we remind you that tomorrow on October 30th, Apple has scheduled a special press event where we will see new iPad and Mac products, and a couple of new accessories (maybe a new Apple pen). The most exciting releases will be the Pro 2018 iPad slates, models that according to rumors will arrive in 11 and 12.9 inch versions and will adopt an upgraded design without a home touch ID button.
The reason for renouncing this authentication element lies behind the reduction in edges around the screen, a design we’ve seen before in several leaks, and which today is as confirmed by an icon extracted from a recent build of iOS 12. Here we clearly see the new narrow-edged design and the Home Circular Button.
We’ll get the Face ID solution however that will work both in Portrait and Landscape, and if the latest rumors are true then we will also get a USB-C port at the base instead of the Lightning one. The tablets will have an Apple A12X processor and we can not exclude seeing 4 or 6 GB RAM on board.
Full details will be revealed tomorrow!
