Apple seems to be preparing more gadgets than expected this year and aside from the iPhone trio happening in the fall, they also have a few MacBooks and iPads coming. Turns out that the Cupertino firm registered new such products with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
These filings usually come just a few weeks ahead of new product announcements, but that’s not a general rule. Apple is supposed to introduce a new iPad Pro with Face ID this year. It should also have slim bezels, no Home button and the latest Apple A series CPU, according to leaks. MacBooks are also overdue for the next months. The latest Apple filings in the Eurasian database cover 5 new iPads and 5 Mac models.
Keeping a track record of things, 9to5Mac writes that back in august 2016 Apple filed a trademark for the iPhone 7, Apple Watch Series 2, Apple Watch Series 1 and AirPods. all of the products came to life just weeks later. Ahead of WWDC 2017 the filings also revealed the Magic Keyboard, new MacBooks and iPads. This means that the filings are a pretty sure and consistent source when it comes to such info.
Oddly enough it failed this year, when Apple filed almost a dozen new iPhone model identifiers and launched zilch. They may also be trying to confuse speculants of stock info and other such people. We’re still seeing September as the ideal time frame for the release, with the macOS Mojave and iOS 12 on board. I’m also curious about a brand new Apple Pencil and new desktops.
Also, Apple better fix the keyboard on the MacBooks…
