Earlier this year, back in Spring Apple was seen as the top tablet in the Customer Satisfaction Survey related to tablets and done by JD Power in USA. Things have changed over the past months and somehow Amazon is on the first spot now.

The survey of customer satisfaction involved almost 2700 US tablet owners and ran from March to August. The iPad placed second with a score of 824 out of 1000. Samsung was third, with 821, while ASUS and Acer were fourth and fifth, respectively. Amazon’s Kindle tablet beat every other model, with a score of 827 out of 1000. JD Power’s study shows that Apple got high scores in areas like performance, styling and design.

Meanwhile, Amazon’s best scores were related to ease of operation and cost. Amazon’s Kindle slates are several hundreds of dollars cheaper than the iPad, but extra features like Amazon Mayday make it easier for customers to get help via video chat from support reps. One may wonder if the study actually took place before the new iPads were announced. Let’s see it at the end of 2014, since I guess that things may change…
