Amazon debuted the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition device today and also made it available for preorder. It ships next month and also debuting with it is the “Show Mode”, that allows you to experience Alexa on a full screen view.

Back to the product for the little ones, the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids edition is very much like the 7 inch and 8 inch Kids edition slates. Specs wise it’s more of the same with the Fire HD 10 tablet launched in 2017, except for a few features. It has a colorful case, that has been kid proofed, plus a two year warranty and a year of FreeTime Unlimited.

That service gives the children unlimited access to shows, books, games and so forth. It also comes with a solid set of Parental Controls, including timers and access blockers. This Kid Edition is priced $50 higher than the regular Fire HD 10, so basically you will end up paying $200 for it. The preorders taken now will ship around July 11th.

The Amazon Freetime Unlimited is available for free for 2 years. It also offers a Bedtime feature, 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 10.1 inch Full HD screen. A good piece of news is that the worry free guarantee will let you replace the device for free if it breaks, no questions asked. A kid friendly browser has also been included.
