The Allview X1 Xtreme is the Romanian rebranded version of the Chinese Gionee Elife E7 and we got to fondle this device at MWC 2014. Now it has arrived on our testing table and this 5.5 inch phablet is about to get a review. The product is priced at $624 and debuted in stores in February.

The box of the device looks very much like an Xperia or HTC One, I have to say. Inside we find NFC tags, a charger, USB cable, earbuds that seem pretty high end, a protective film for the screen and a Bitdefender Mobile Security code. Also inside there’s a little metallic key, that opens up the microSIM card area. This device is glossy and slippery, but it has quite an unusual design, that involves a rectangular format and very rounded edges.

Its specs are pretty high end and include a Snapdragon 800 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 16 MP back camera. Upfront we’ve got a potent selfie tool, an 8 MP shooter and all of this is packed within an unibody design and weighs 150.5 grams. The screen is a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD unit with LTPS tech.

Other specs include HD Voice, FM radio, a Yamaha amplifier and a 2500 mAh battery. We’ll be back with a full review ASAP.
