It appears that companies like LG and Alcatel are not patient enough to wait for IFA 2013 to play out and decided to give us earlier launches of their products. In this case Alcatel decided to unveil a new slate dubbed the Evo 8 HD.

The full name is actually the Alcatel One Touch Evo 8 HD, with 4G LTE and a 1.6 GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 CPU at its center. There’s only 4 GB of storage inside, but at least the device supports up to 64 GB in extra storage. The company has yet to announce the pricing and availability of the slate, but we’ll look out for more details.

I can see there’s a camera at the back and I supposed it’s a 5 MP or 3 MP unit, since we don’t have that much info available. The product measures 9 mm in thickness and we’re expected to hear more about this Android model next week at IFA 2013. The software experience here feels like a stock one, so no worries about a custom UI.
