How about a tablet with a low price tag and a cool display, that’s past the Full HD standard. Full HD displays seem to have become a norm, on both smartphones and tablets, but apparently we can go past that landmark now, even on cheaper slates. One such example is the Ainol Novo 10 Captain, a 1200p tablet with a $213 price tag.
Chinese manufacturer Ainol is behind this product and plans to roll out the 10 inch tablet with a quad core ATM 7029 processor. Ainol Novo 10 Captain is actually similar in some areas with the recently announced Ainol Novo Hero II, although the higher res display makes the difference. The 10 Captain is currently unavailable on the mass market, but it can be preordered and the price we mentioned above is the one of the 8 GB version. The 16 GB model can be ordered for $260.
Hardware specs include a 10,000 mAh battery, a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, a Mali 400 GPU, 1 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot, plus a mini USB port and HDMI out. At the back we’ve got a 2 megapixel camera, while upfront there’s a VGA shooter. WiFi and Bluetooth are also here and fingers crossed for this model’s arrival at the FCC.
