Aigo has just launched its first e-book reader, the EB6301 model, pictured below. This device packs a 6 inch e-ink display, with a 600 x 800 pixels resolution and it supports lots of e-book formats, like TXT, PDF, DOC, CHM and HTM/HTML.
Image viewing is also supported, in formats like JPG, BMP, GIF, JPEG and PNG, while audio playback is also on the specs list, with MP3, WMV and WMA as the available formats. Underneath the hood there’s a 1200 mAh battery to power the gadget, enough for 5,000 e-book page turns.
Aigo EB6301 also features 2GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and its main flaw is the lack of connectivity, be it Wi-Fi or 3G. $370 is the price tag for the e-reader.
