There’s a new tablet in town and its name is the Acer Tab 7. This is the latest device from the Taiwanese company and it’s even cheaper than the Iconia A1-830 model, that was unveiled at CES 2014 and should come at $149.99.
The Acer Tab 7 was unveiled in China and it’s a bit smaller than the model from CES, incorporating a 7 inch screen instead of a 7.9 incher. Its resolution is also lower, at 600 x 1024 pixels. The tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, weighs 289 grams and it’s 9.9 mm thin. It looks pretty decent for a budget device and its features include a dual core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU, 1 GB of RAM and a 1.9 megapixel rear camera.
There’s a VGA front shooter, WiFi on board, Bluetooth, microUSB, micro HDMI, 8 GB of storage and a 3000 mAh battery. Chinese retailer JD already sells the product for about $99, making it a very appealing product that may or may not make it to other countries. The store is here if you’re tempted.
