While TV sets are constantly changing the title of “world’s slimmest”, such records come more rarely in the field of laptops. For example Acer unveiled the Swift 7 at IFA 2016 at the end of August and it still remains the “world’s thinnest laptop”. Guess what? It’s now up for order in USA, starting at $999.
This product can be found on the likes of Amazon, Best Buy and NewEgg and it comes with a very nice looking chassis. Acer Swift 7 is just 9.98 mm (0.39 inches) slim and weighs just 1.1 kg (2.48 pounds), which is fantastically paired with up to 9 hours of battery life. It comes in gold and black and opts for an all aluminum unibody design.
There’s Gorilla Glass protection for the 13.3 inch Full HD IPS display, that has a micro bezel and inside the laptop we find a 7th gen Intel Core i5 processor, as well as 256 GB of SSD storage and up to 8 GB of RAM. Dual USB 3.1 Type C ports are here, as well as an HD webcam with HDR for clearer face rendering. Obviously, this model runs on Windows 10 and it also brings fast WiFi 802.11ac with MU MIMO support.
